xmas cards for the general public 2008

is the name of a new project i started shooting on monday night... CHRISTMAS PHOTOGRAPHS!!!! omg i know! sort of a promo idea, but i guess only people interested or intrigued by the concept will discover the inside, and get to keep a piece of dope sauce original artwork neeeeato!

i suppose i could try to "upload" my faux documentary about the xmas decorations in the financial district but you get the idea..

i cant give any sneak previews of these photos, but i will say that i hid in some fake winter-esqu foliage to take funny pix of unsuspecting overpriced lame ice rink goers in union square, umbrella holders, milk, cookies, trees (the other kind) of course and christmas themed lotto scratchers

as a young adult, i thought about sending xmas cards to people i know but i mean doesnt everyone already do that that does that... wouldnt it be more interesting to get one from someone you didnt know? or find it in a public space? its all about giving.

next year i have to do a sears portrait with a fake family i think

CATARACS SHOW REVIEW

vol1 still a classic--of course, but on wednesday night, them cata boys leaned toward their newer achievments.
one og cata fan who chose to remain annonymous had this to say. "Ive never been elbowed in the dick by a 14 year old."

they packed the place and put a lot of energy into their show and i love them...and the live band was a wonderful choice, keep it analog!!! but 1) fuck that bouncer who grabbed my h20 outside and 2) i may not have gotten elbowed in the dick, but i did get shoulder checked and "challenged" to dance like a sluttier slut than the sluts next to me, which i chose not to, because true cata fans were not sluts back in 03. .... but u know, theyre just mad at me cuz i was a muse... and now they wanna battle??? whhaaaaaa?
